WHO ARE CAGE?

MISSION & HISTORY.

We are a group of UK residents, concerned about the increasing trend of rushing through planning applications for monetary profit without appropriate thought to long-term environmental impacts. We urge our country’s planners to value the nation’s clean air and green environment in a time of critical climate concern.

The CAGE campaign was launched in 2020 in response to the Newlands Development proposal for a giant distribution and manufacturing hub in the M3, J7 area. In 2024 we are fighting the third application. Even after being dismissed following a public inquiry the Developer persists.

Based in Hampshire, the group has established several teams, looking at different areas of the proposal to provide the basis of an effective campaign. We will, where necessary, seek specialist advice so that CAGE can make considered observations to people living, working and passing through the area.
